SARCO Panel of Arbitrators

As part of its mandate, SARCO maintains a Panel of Arbitrators comprising nominees from each of the SAARC Member State. Unlike some other arbitral institutions, SARCO does not operate an open application process for inclusion in its panel. Nominations are made for a term of three years and are subsequently reviewed and updated.

To qualify for nomination to the panel, applicants should have:

  • A law degree (Master’s preferred)
  • Accreditation from a recognized ADR body
  • Regional or international arbitration experience
  • Experience supporting arbitral tribunals or working with an arbitration institution
